Simplicity

Cooking great tasting food, doesn't mean you have to cook everything from scratch. This afternoon I had a sweet tooth, so I decided to use what I had in the pantry to make my mom and I treat.

Gingerbread Cobbler:

Ingredients:
* A box of gingerbread cake mix
* 2 cans of apple pie filling
* 1/2 c sliced almonds
* 1 stick of butter

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a cake pan with cooking spray. Layer the 2 cans of pie filling at the bottom of the cake pan, then evenly layer the the dry cake mix on top. Cut thin slices of butter and put them on top of the cake mix. Then sprinkle the sliced almonds all over, and put a few more slices of butter on top. Bake until the almonds are toasted and brown.

Serve with whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.

Enjoy the simplicity!
